In an interview with the American network Fox News, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to destroy all power plants and bridges in Iran.
Donald Trump announced attacks that would hit Iran “very hard” this week.“Next week is when it’s really going to get bad for them, because next week it’s the power plants’ turn, next week it’s the bridges’ turn,” the U.S. president said on Fox News.
“They want to make a deal, but every time they make a deal, they break it,” Trump added. He also stated that the U.S. attacks would spare the civilian population, but that he had sent a clear message to Iran: “You’d better make a deal. Otherwise, there won’t be anyone left.”
Trump also said he will continue the fierce attacks unless Iran returns to the negotiating table.
U.S. Central Command reported on Tuesday evening on X about the U.S. military’s new attacks: “U.S. Central Command forces have launched a new series of strikes against Iran to further degrade Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.” The strikes are taking place as U.S. forces prepare to resume the naval blockade against Iranian ports and coastal areas. The blockade will take effect at 4:00 p.m. ET (10:00 p.m. in the Netherlands, ed.)."
