Since his first overall victory in the Tour de France in 2020, Tadej Pogačar has become the best cyclist in the world—and that hasn’t done him any harm.

Everyone agrees that Tadej Pogačar is the very best cyclist of the moment. Following his previous victories in the Tour de France in 2020, 2021, 2024, and 2025, he now appears on track to win the world’s greatest cycling race for the fifth time. His list of achievements is impressive, featuring victories in major and minor stage races as well as numerous wins in one-day races.

All those victories have certainly paid off: Tadej Pogačar has not only been the world’s best cyclist for years, but he can also call himself by far the richest cyclist in the peloton. According to the AD, his annual salary at UAE is reportedly around 8.4 million euros. By comparison, other superstars in the peloton, such as Remco Evenepoel and Jonas Vingegaard, reportedly earn 6.5 million and 5 million euros per year, respectively.

In addition to his base salary, Pogačar also sees bonuses for major victories deposited into his bank account. He is said to earn approximately 2.5 million euros per year from sponsorship deals. For example, he has deals with Colnago (bicycles), MET (helmets), DMT (shoes), Enervit (nutrition), MyWhoosh (training platform), and even the luxury watch brand Richard Mille.

Together, the AD estimates his net worth at approximately 60 million euros. Even with that net worth, he remains far from the highest earner cycling has ever known: Lance Armstrong. Before the American fell from grace due to doping and had his Tour de France victories, among other achievements, stripped from him, he was reportedly worth between 100 and 125 million euros thanks to major deals with brands such as Nike, Trek, Oakley, and Subaru.
