Iran has once again carried out attacks on Bahrain and Jordan, as tensions in the Gulf region continue to escalate following new U.S. airstrikes on Iranian territory. According to Reuters, Bahrain says it intercepted multiple Iranian attacks, and Jordan reports that it shot down five drones from Iran before they reached their targets.
According to Bahrain’s armed forces, the airstrikes were repelled during the night from Monday to Tuesday. On X, the country reported that its air defense system had intercepted several incoming aircraft. A similar report came from Jordan, where five drones originating from Iran were shot down without causing any casualties or damage. Both countries are thus holding their ground amid a rapidly escalating regional confrontation.
Meanwhile, according to state media, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has also attacked Amazon’s infrastructure in Bahrain. The claim was circulated on Tuesday via Iranian media, but according to Reuters, Bahrain did not provide official confirmation. The Iranian account stated that the attack targeted the U.S. company’s central data infrastructure, which was reportedly struck by cruise missiles.
The attacks are part of a broader wave of reciprocal retaliatory actions. Iran says it is acting in response to recent U.S. airstrikes on targets in the region, while the U.S. carried out new attacks on Iran last night. Washington and Tehran thus remain locked in a dangerous cycle of airstrikes, with allies and neighboring countries increasingly finding themselves in the line of fire. For now, Bahrain and Jordan maintain that their air defenses have the situation under control. But the series of attacks demonstrates above all how quickly the conflict is spreading beyond the immediate borders of Iran and the U.S.
