Greek version of 'Expedition Robinson' shut down: contestant loses part of his leg

Greek reality program Survivor Greece was temporarily taken off the air after contestant Stavros Floros (21) was seriously injured.
Floros, a young beekeeper, was spearfishing on May 10 during a break from filming in the Dominican Republic, when he was struck by a tourist boat. The boat's propeller partially amputated his left leg below the knee and caused serious injury to his right ankle, The Toronto Sun reported.
"The contestant is still in hospital. his condition is serious but stable and he is out of danger," AcunMedya, the program's production house, announced in a statement.
Skai TV suspended broadcasts until the investigation into the circumstances of the incident is completed. The network promised to contribute to his treatment and rehabilitation.
